If you’ve visited this blog in the past, you know that I’m having some technical difficulties with my WordPress site. I’ve given up trying to fix the issue, since it keeps coming back like a bad virus.
I’m slowly transitioning from here to Substack. My IWSG First Wednesday post is there, and if you subscribe, you’ll be alerted to my future posts at this new address. The subscription is free. I have no plans to add a paid subscription to my regular monthly posts.

I’m thrilled about your new book, and congrats on the wonderful reviews! I’ll try and figure out how to leave comments on substack, it’s a bit of a mystery to me. WordPress is really acting up — I’m sorry about your technical difficulties. Good luck!

I’ll be right over!

Since I’m getting that same message about my profile and can’t figure out what to do next (nothing I put in gets accepted), I’ll leave my comment here:
I wish you well on your new release!
I rarely give a totally bad review if I do one. If the author has taken time to make some credible effort at producing a work of literature then I’ll recognize their achievement from that perspective even if I don’t like what I have read. If they’ve tried then it’s like an “e” for effort grade that a teacher might give.

Right, Arlee. There’s always something good about a book, and that should be mentioned in a review.
Sorry about the rejection from Substack. I’m still working on why that’s happening.

Congrats on the book. Substack won’t let me post a comment. It keeps telling me to “update your bio”, but when I do, it still doesn’t work. Sigh.

Substack is still a mystery to me, so I can’t help you out. When I understand, I’ll try to post an easy set of instructions. Thanks for trying.

Lee sorry about computer issues. I’m computer stupid, so when blogger when wacko one day, I got very frustrated. I did get it working though.
Congratulations on your New Release! Sounds Intriguing!
Thank you for co-hosting.
Have a Merry Christmas!
C. Lee McKenzie says
Thanks, Cathrain. I’ve fixed this problem several time, but I’m tired of spending time on it.

Interesting to know you are using Substack. I have a friend that does not have a website and has no plans to create one. She’d like to join IWSG, so Substack could be the answer.
You wrote, “…and if you subscribe,…” Please tell me where to subscribe.
Congratulations on your new book, Rattlesnake.
Thanks for co-hosting our Dec IWSG blog hop.

If you visit my site and pull up any of my posts, there should be a subscribe button there. It has a small red icon and under that is “Subscribe.”
Thanks for the visit and the comment!

Congrats, Lee!
Sorry, I tried to leave a comment on the other post, but even after creating a profile, it wouldn’t take it and publish my comment.
C. Lee McKenzie says
This is a learning curve for me. Hope I can sort it out.

And congratulations on your new book, Rattlesnake, Lee. The cover is fabulous.

Thanks, Joylene.

Congratulations, Janet, on your newest book. Sounds inspiring. Lee, sorry about your computer issues. I have a fellow here in Mexico who fixed my WordPress site and erased all my worries… for a very reasonable price. If you change your mind, let me know and I can send you his contact information. Best to you.
C. Lee McKenzie says
I’ll give that some thought. Straddling two platforms is confusing.

Thank you, Joylene.
