This post was on how to write about a character’s ANGER. Here’s what Mystery Blogger A suggested. It was a great tip.

“Whatever physical traits and action the character models to show anger, it’s more effective to contrast it with whatever mood came before it.”

  18. I'm one of the masses, I have absolutely no idea because I didn't know about the A to Z Challenge until this year. 🙁
    Anger? Isn't that the emotion we fall back on if we can think of nothing else to say? Or is that just me?

  19. You sure know how to make a challenge fun and exciting. I am new and don't know many of the bloggers so I couldn't even guess who the mystery person is. I know it's not me, does that count for anything?

  22. Hmmmm … not sure. But anger is fun tow write into a story. I like to have it backfire on the person. You can add slapstick comedy in too.

  25. Well, forget "witty" remarks from me. They strain my brain to think of one. Anger is a great topic. Everyone gets angry once in a while, so should our characters. I don't know the answer to your question. 🙂

  27. Now I have another reason to regret skipping last year's challenge! Serves me right.

    I like writing angry characters though. Anger in dialogue is even more fun than what characters do when they're angry. It's such a conspicuous emotion.

  30. I have no idea, but I wish I knew because I'm always looking for tips on expressing emotion. Well, I'm sure I'll stumble across them – after all, there are only about 1400 people doing the A-Z. Piece of cake! lol

  37. Nope, don't know. It's an interesting take on the A to Z challenge though! Writing an A to Z in the form of a game about participants in A to Z challenge, which in itself is a sort of game. I feel like the inception bong might go off.

  38. Now I wish I'd know about the A to Z last year. I could be a contender. However, I do have to say I admire the dog's attitude and have often wished I could do the same. As a woman, of course, it's a bit more difficult…

    Oh, and the advice was good, too. 🙂

  39. Oh my goodness, there's no way I could possibly guess. If there were a list of people to pick from…

    That image makes me giggle though. We're big fans of "grrr" as our expression of anger around here. In fact, my oldest used to say "Erga-berga!" when he was angry. Can you imagine how cute that was coming out of the mouth of a two to 4 year old? Epic.

  43. My first thought was Angela Ackerman of Emotion Thesaurus fame, but then you said the blogger has published a thriller and that kind of blew that idea, so I have no idea!
