The brainchild of Arlee Bird, at Tossing it Out
|
As a writer, my real tools are the words in my language. Fortunately, English has a ton–with more being added everyday. You can see where this is going, right? My favorite words from AtoZ. Okay, stop the sniggering. I’m not as creative as some, so give me a break, take a look and add your favorite word in your comment. I can always use more words.
Bodacious
Do you remember the line David Keith had in an Officer and a Gentleman? I loved that line because it used bodacious and “ta ta’s” in the same sentence.

Bodacious is a great word! I love the word surreptitious. ๐ I just think it is fun.

Wow, I can't believe how many people are participating in the A to Z Challenge this year!
That is such a great word! Makes me think of Fast Times at Ridgemont High. LOL
I actually don't think I watched An Officer and a Gentleman.
Love the word bodacious. ๐
Bodacious. An excellent word!
Bodacious is a fine word, and very satisfying to say, too. One of my favourite "B" words is bloviate (to talk at length, especially in an inflated or empty way) because it sounds so much like what it means. We ALL know a bloviator, don't we? ๐
HA! Bodacious. Talk about a word that brings back memories ๐
Bodacious is an awesome word! I also like bruhaha.
Haha, yes, I remember that line! That's such a good movie. I'm trying to think of a "B" favorite word, and I can't think of one (though I know you just asked for a favorite overall). Let's go with brainiac since it popped in my head.

Bodacious is a great word!
I hadn't scrolled all the way down the A to Z Challenge participant list until now. Wow. Those are a ton of bloggers.
I cannot believe there are almost 2000 participants now. Wow! I'm watching from the sidelines and am so amazed.
Great word and great movie line, and I love your theme. ๐
I like the word "Bodacious."
LOL. Hm. Favorite "B" word? Balderdash! Wonder what the world will be tomorrow…
Oh, yes. That's a great B word! Thanks.
I say that line to this day….lol ๐
It such a manly statement. I've never heard a female friend say it. ๐
I love the word Bodacious especially when it is used with ta-tas.
Words! Of course that was the answer to the riddle ๐
Bodacious… it rolls right off the tongue!
Hey C. Lee,
Good grief, thought I'd have to scroll for the next two weeks to get to where to comment. Now, I have to scroll back up to reread your posting. A brief musical interlude….Okay, I'm back.
Your posting was like totally bodacious and sorry spell check, that is a word. TTFN, or Ta Ta For Now. And thanks for letting me know you start at the beginning of the alphabet. What was I thinking…
Gary ๐
I do remember that line in that movie. His character ended so sadly. Bodacious is a great word.
I think we're all a little nuts. I like unusual words too, so bodacious hits the spot just right. ๐
lol I totally remember bodacious tatas. It's such a great word!!
Bodacious. Haven't heard that in awhile.
And here it pops up twice in one day! How about that?
It is the second time I meet that word today. Now I'm sure I won't forget it. ๐
Somebody else stole my word of the day? That says something about just how catchy bodacious is.
I don't remember that line. I'll have to listen carefully the next time I see that movie. Hmm, a B word .. how about buttocks. Fresh on my mind cuz I just got a cortizone shot on one of mine an hour ago at the doctors.:)
Bodacious is a fun word!
My favorite B word is barbecue! No just kidding, I just typed that because I'm hungry. A B word that comes to mind is 'behemoth' yeh, I guess I like that word. *says the short girl* (:

Lee you remembered that word? How old is that movie? You have an amazing memory!
It's a cheeky-sounding word!
I forgot to add my words… let's see… ummmmm…
bollocks
blase
benevolent
bombastic
I love bollocks. It's so much better than the American curse equivalent. And bombastic deserves some applause.
Indeed, bodacious is a great word. It sounds like what it means.
It's kind of Tom Jones word, isn't it? Ripe and full of suggestion.
Hi Lee .. great word for the A-Z challenge .. it is bodaciously clever … cheers Hilary
Ha! Love it as an adverb.
Great word. Can't believe you remembered it from the movie.
I can't remember things I should, but his seemed to stick!
What a great word. I hoped someone would suggest it on my post today and they did. ๐
Waving at you Nick. Let's see the story with this word in it!
Wow, it's been years since I saw that film.
Funny how I remember that word from that movie!
