Did you hear about Marcus MCoy who kept his cool, called 911, and directed them where he and his family were trapped by fire in the second story of their home? For 11 minutes he stayed calm and kept his sister, who was in the room with him, calm. Now that’s something. And he’s just 13 years old. Very good news.

Hi Lee and Chrys … yes that lad is amazing – fantastic how some people are able to step up to the plate in times of need, and/or in an emergency ..
Good luck to Chrys with her books … cheers to you both – Hilary
I could see how Evanescence could set the tone for a book! What a great story about that 13-year-old boy, too. I wonder if it's easier for a younger person to be calmer than adults like us, who are more likely to freak out?
Evanescence has been one of my favorite bands since they came out. š
Ghost of Death was great and I look forward to Witch of Death. Those are some great songs and artists.
You do such a great job keeping up on your reading and reviewing.
Ha, I love silence when I write, but I can see how that sort of music gets the supernatural vibe happening. All the best Chrys. Thanks Lee for hosting Chrys today!
More than anything I treasure the silence while writing. Glad Chrys was here. She's great.
Wow, staying calm at 13. He's a hero and a good brother. Congrats to Chrys. I'm getting old since I only recognized half of her music list.
Thanks, TBM! I just have different tastes. At least for darker stories. These bands and songs are rock and metal. š
I'm still crazy about that White Rabbit cover. I wish the actual book came with that gif.
Congrats on your books, Chrys! I hope they both sell a gajillion copies.
I'll be writing my reflections post for Wednesday as well. Seems appropriate.
Thank you, J.H.! And I hope they do too. š
Oh and I love that quote!-So true!
Congrats Chrys. The book(s) sound great and very enticing
Thank you, Birgit! š
Haven't done my reflections post yet.
Congrats to Chris. I know she's awesome!
Thanks, J.L.!
I really like the good news section. That is so awesome. We need to be reminded that there is good in this world.
I like the first item on your music list. I'm mostly listening to black metal, but sometimes goth metal too. BTW, do you know the band Theatre of Tragedy? If not, check out the song A Rose for the Dead

Cold As Heaven
I haven't heard of Theatre of Tragedy. Thanks for the song recommendation! š
Congrats, Chrys. Music is so inspiring.
Thanks, Lynda!
Marcus is a hero in my view – awesome!
Congrats on the 5 star reviews!!!
Yay for Chris!! š
Hi, Jemi! š
5 Stars for everyone!
It's great to hear about the "good" kids in the world, rather than just the bad.
Congratulations, Chrys. Good luck with your books.
The anthology looks fascinating.
Have a super week, Lee.
Thank you, Beverly!
Thanks, Beverly. Good kids deserve the press as do writers. š
So inspiring to read about kid heroes, and Chrys has a knack for creating such interesting stories and characters. Good luck to her.
Thank you so much, Greg! I'm glad you think my stories and characters are interesting. I try. š
Thanks for stopping in Greg. So enjoy your blog.
Congratulations to Chrys. I wish songs could help me write, but they usually distract me. LOL
Thank you, Patricia!
Congrats to Chrys! Love Evanescence and Katy Perry's "ET."
Thanks, Cherie! Evanescence seems to be the most popular band of the ones I mentioned. š
Congrats on the 5 stars and to Chrys!
Thanks, HR!
Congrats to Chrys. I'm not familiar with all her music picks but I like Evanescence.
Thank you, Susan!
Congrats to Chrys! Oh wow, I haven't listened to Evanescence in forever! I like to listen to music before I write, but can't while I'm writing. Too distracting.
Music and writing must be separate for me, too.
Evanescence is the best to get me in the mood for darker themes.
Wonderful story about a brave kid, =)
Glad the anthology is getting good reviews! And congrats of finishing A to Z
Thanks, Mere. Hope all is well with that new baby. Getting enough sleep?
One brave kid indeed. Congrats to Chrys too. I can't listen to music as I write at my zoo
You have rhymes to keep you on track. I can see why you don't need music.
Thanks, Pat! I can also see why…rhyming and music don't mix.
I can only hope I'd be as calm as that young man was. Congrats to Chrys, though I don't know how you can write listening to music. I find anything with words is a total distraction!
Here's to YOU, Lee, for doing a FABULOUS job with the A to Z Challenge, both as a leader of minions and as blogger.
Waving at you, Bish. We made it through. And here you are visiting again. Tireless is a word that comes to mind.
I'm with you on the music/writing front.
Thanks, Bish! I have to write with music. I guess my brain functions more creatively with sound. š
What a brave young man! And congratulations to Chrys. Can't wait to read her books!
They sound very exciting.
Thank you, Christine! I'd love to know what you think of them. š
Yes, I heard about that young hero. Good for him and his family!
Chrys is awesome!
Congrats to you, too. Hear your book is a hit out there! Hurray, Jay.
Thanks, Jay! You're awesome too! š
Aww, I love when kids are the hero.
Congrat's to Chrys on your a new book!
Teresa
That kind of story always gives me hope for our future.
Thanks, Teresa! š
Thank you so much for having my on your blog today, C Lee. I'll be doing my reflection post on Wednesday. š
You're most welcome. Loved learning more about your new books.
Does it mean I'm old that I only recognized one of the artists Chrys listed? LOL
Congrats on making it through AtoZ. š
Nope, it just means we listen to different music. š
We are in the same musical boat, Melissa.
Congrats, Chrys. Evanescence has some great songs.
Thanks, L. Diane. Amy Lee from Evanescence inspire a character in Ghost of Death. š
Congrats to Chrys, I have recently been a follower of her, I have signed up for Reflections but of course I have made a hash of it, It shows my whole blog instead of the one post.
Great start to May Lee.
Yvonne.
Thank you, Yvonne, I appreciate all of your support. š
Hi again, Yvonne. Thanks for the continued support and taking the time to comment on Chrys' newest books.
That is an amazing young man.
Within Temptation! Chrys, you rock. Congratulations.
Within Temptation is my favorite band. š Thanks, Alex!
She's off and running, isn't she?
Congrats to Chrys on her book. No, I didn't hear that inspiring story. Thanks for sharing it.
Thanks, Natalie!
I loved how her AtoZ theme tied in so well with her books.
