So here’s one that caught my attention, thanks to Lauren of Shooting Star Magazine.
Here’s the lineup: Britt Robertson, Christian Slater, Justin Long, Martin Sheen, Robert Patrick, Max Carver. The director is Allison Burnett.
Find their FACEBOOK page and give them a like.
And it’s a topic that’s so important to explore. Do you post your intimate experiences online? I don’t. And I don’t connect with my family there either. Oh, they’re on all social media, but I’d rather keep them separate from what I do as a writer. I’m out here to connect with writers and readers I wouldn’t have the pleasure of knowing otherwise. I’m here to show you my work, share what I know, learn from you and enjoy some fun together.
I do typically keep the personal stuff off Facebook, but I think I've slacked on that lately. I do have family on there, as well as friends from different groups, and I used to be really good about choosing who could see what on there, but not lately. Must get back to that!
Hey there super celebrity author, Lee,
Yes, you may now stop twiddling your thumbs. I only took me until the New Year to get to your posting from the Old Year.
A modern take on teens? Right then, shall check out that Farcebook link. Of course, I'm still a teenager at heart. I can skateboard with the best of them. Well cool.
My writing is from a transparent angle. I have no qualms about showing what an amazingly awesome guy I am. Such info needs to be shared with the world and beyond, I reckon.
I'm so ready for 2015 that I waited until 2015 to comment on your posting from 2014.
Have a peaceful, positive and adoring fans, type of New Year, Lee.
Yep, your starstruckest fan,
Penny's pawtend human,
Gary 🙂
Happy New Year, Lee. I try to keep the personal stuff off social media. Hope you have a productive year!
I never got around to seeing it! December was a rush!
Some personal information is good. I just don't think sharing a lot of really intimate details is a good idea.
I hope the movie was just as good as it looked to you! I don't remember ever hearing about it.
I do connect with some family on social media, but I really don't post anything too personal. Definitely not intimate details about my personal life- but I may post a shot of my garden or a hike I took. 🙂
I am still trying to get organized again after the holidays. I am slowly but surely getting there. ::)
Happy 2015! Hope it is a magical one!
~Jess
It depends on the kind of information, but I don't get overly intimate–hopefully nothing that would embarrass anyone in my life or come back to haunt me.
We haven't been watching movies over the holidays like I thought we might, but we've been having good times. Living ones own life is better than watching the fictional lives of others anyway.
Lee
Tossing It Out
Exactly. What you put out here is forever as far as I know.
De-decorate the house! Yes. I plan to do that this evening. I'm writerly on all social media except FB, where I'm a little of each, but I wouldn't post anything I wouldn't want professional peeps to see. Actually, on most social media I'm writerly with hints of the personal, b/c that's what I enjoy seeing from others.
I now have piles at the bottom of the stairs to the attic. Next step is to climb up and find those boxes.
Happy New Year to you and your family, Lee!
We're off and running again!
Haha, still love that drunken dog… No, I don't post private stuff online. I have three FB accts. Two for my author pages. Happy New Year, and hugs. Catherine
Hi Lee – definitely not disclosing personal stuff online … but am always happy to learn about life from others .. I missed the film when it came round ..
Happy New Year and have an easier 2015 … cheers Hilary
Happy New Year's Eve. Wishing you all the best.
Oh, the de-decorating! It's my least favorite part of the holidays, but on my to do list. Happy New Year!
That looks like a fun movie. I'm fairly private online. I share only small glimpses of my life.
No to sex life (unless it is about my bad boy Wallace and dirty girl cat Jade). I can be pretty open and if I had friends or relatives with blogs I wouldn't mind them looking…does not matter to me. I keep my decorations up until little Christmas (Jan 6th). Unfortunately one strand of lights on my tree gave out and the tree is looking a little Charlie Brown so I will take that down this weekend. Happy New Year!
I'm pretty private online. I'll share trips my husband and I enjoy taking, people we've met, music I like, our dog's antics (when he was alive). Stuff like that. But, like you, my blog is more a connection with other writers and the writer's journey.
The movie doesn't really sound like my kind of movie, normally, but I like anything with Martin Sheen in it. He's a fabulous actor.
I've actually been able to watch movies, mostly horror, with my two weeks off. That movie looks good. I'm very careful posting info online.
Happy New Year.
Ask Me Anything looks addicting! I will be adding that to my movie list. And what a cast! Thanks for sharing=)
I hope you have a wonderful New Year's Eve and Day, Lee. We will be having people here too. So much to do this week, including de-decorating after the New Year.
I began my blogging journey sharing personal information about my mother's illness. But after a while, I grew and learned a lot more about myself the more I wrote. Now, I choose to share personal experiences, as long as they have to do with my compassion for the world and/or writing.
Thanks for sharing about the film!! I hope people give it a chance. 🙂 It's very good.
Glad you had a nice holiday. Happy New Year to you too.
-Lauren
I can't believe what people post on Facebook and twitter at times. The business of being a writer never stops, does it. Happy New Year.
I don't get very personal on my blog (unless it's about writing…or my cat…) and I almost never post anything on Facebook. But I like to keep the two separate since I'd be more likely to say something personal on FB. Happy New Year!
I'm glad you found a movie you liked. I discovered Robot Chicken. So funny! I wish you and your family a wonderful 2015!
Hey, Lee,
Looks like a very interesting movie! Christmas was lovely. It was great to get away for a few days and commune with nature. (Hiked for three days).
Definitely ready for the new year! ALL the best to you!
This is a new movie to me. Sounds like a good one. I keep my personal life mostly private. Like you, C Lee, I'm mostly on Face Book and other places to visit with friends and have fun. Happy 2015.
I hadn't heard of it. Looks good though. Remember when Christian was a teen. I'm betting he's her dad. For 2015, I'm hoping to get back to writing full time. I also need to make an effort at marketing. I haven't done either one seriously for 2 years. That must change!
He is not her dad. The movie is far edgier than that. 🙂
I've shared a few details online such as feelings about my late mother, what it's like raising a Chipmunk as a single mom and writer and the occassional transcendent thought, but otherwise, I try to enjoy sharing and moments of interaction with other writers and readers.
Here comes 2015. Let's all grab our hats and hold on for the ride to come!
We've watched a lot movies over the past two weeks.
I keep very private online. All I'm saying about my sex life is it's awesome.
Another lazy week. Happy New Year, Lee!
You are bad! Happy New Year back. Enjoy your lazy week.
