Let me Tell You A Story about my movie cast for Double Negative. This is my last post about this movie cast, so here’s one more character from the story, and I loved casting him.

Jimmy, Hutch’s dad, isn’t a bad guy, he’s just disillusioned by the cards he’s been dealt. When he realizes he can actually do something to help his son, he does.
Meet Jimmy!
So what’re we gonna do about this school thing, Hutch?” Dad’s “thing” still comes out “thang” even after twenty years living away from Texas.
I’m really enjoying stopping in at different blogs and seeing what they’re posting for this year’s A to Z. Here’s one that caught my attention, 55 Word Crime Stories. It’s very clever. Take a look. And if you like movies as well as the alphabet, by all means, visit BB Creations.
Tomato Report: It’s happening. Just look at all that potential. There’s a metaphor circling my cerebral cortex and I’m oh so tempted to break into metaphor right now. But I’ll spare you that. . .for today.

As for second chances, sure, I believe in them. I think it depends on what the person had done though – but if I hadn't been open to second chances, I wouldn't have one of my best friends again.

I love tomatoes, but they sometimes don't love me. Ha ha. Heirlooms are amazing though.
I give second chances, sometimes even thirds. Depends on the offense. If it's a crime against children, no, don't count on that.
And yup, I've hit up lots of A to Z people. I live in comment mod Hell (that's an invisible place located in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, where the only food is Spam). But yup, I've been around commenting, as always.

I do believe in second chances. Sometimes they work out, sometimes they don't.
Love to see tomato plants growing. One of my favorite things about having a garden is the fresh tomatoes. I just adore them and eating them like apples is one of my favorite things. 🙂

As long as Matthew McConaughey isn't doing one of those silly Lincoln commercials, I'm happy to see him. He's made some wonderful movies and he sounds like a perfect fit for Double Negative. Those are some great looking tomatoes! I do believe in second chances, and that no one should ever give up hope.

I love conflicted characters. No real people are just good and bad- we're all a bit of a mix.
I bought Double Negative, but I still need to read it. I buy much faster than I read.

Second chances? I'm all about second chances. I tend to give second, third, and fourth chances, sometimes to my detriment. But I have been the recipient of second chances, so I feel it's only fair to offer them to others.
I do believe in giving second chances… but not an infinite number. I hadn't thought about casting my characters. Definitely a fun idea.

Also I definitely believe in giving second chances. I've known people who have done wonders when given a second chance after screwing up. A third chance though, I'd have to think about it. 🙂
Great excerpt, and I think Matthew McConaughey is an excellent actor! Yay for your plants becoming vegetables! I didn't know sour cream was Russian. I'd have guessed French. (I love sour cream! Perhaps Beef Stroganoff should have given me a clue about Russia. lol)

I do believe in second chances. I'm not sure if I should plant tomatoes this year since last year my one plant took over the garden. I think if you put all those flavors together, you get American, because we like it all.

Yes, Shady knows or finds out all. I missed a lot of the 60s here in the states. I saw everything from a very different perspective in SE Asia. Interesting times.

McConaughy is one of those rare actors who rarely does a bad movie. I liked him best in the Lincoln Lawyer.

I needed to cheat, but learned that Alice May Brock is the Alice in the famous Arlo Guthrie counterculture anthem of my youth "Alice's Restaurant," the 60s song and album that also inspired a movie. I agree with Alice that garlic is a great and very healthy cooking additive.
