Books
One thing about being a writer that I love is this: you get to hang with other writers. I’m really excited to host Catherine Stine today with her new book Ruby’s Fire.
Here’s what you can look forward to when you open to page one.
“Seventeen year-old Ruby and her little brother Thorn, have only known a life blighted by the extremist Fireseed Cult. The night Ruby is set to be claimed by one of its cruelest and oldest leaders, she makes a bid for freedom. With Thorn in tow, she stumbles into the world beyond, and finds an opportunity for a fresh start in Skull’s Wrath under the guidance of Nevada Pilgrim, a woman who may not be all she seems. Ruby’s new life could bring her friendship, love, even fortune, but nothing comes without a price. Is Ruby’s talent for elixirs keeping the roof over their heads, or do some of her associates have a more sinister and lucrative interest in them? Life outside a strange cult isn’t without its dangers, and the experience leaves Ruby transformed and communing with the Fireseed more closely than she ever would have imagined. Stine delivers a thrilling adventure led by an exciting cast of characters, and the romance is really well handled.”

Looks cool! And wow, 1000 books? Sheesh. I guess that speaks to our awesome imaginations, right? 😀
Only 1, 000 today. Two tomorrow and then how many?
This sound deliciously original. Must-start-series.
I love the cover! 🙂 I saw this book on a couple of blogs today. Very eyecatching. Congrats Catherine. 🙂
I've been seeing this book everywhere and it looks really good!!! Planning on reading the first in the series first.
Ruby's Fire sounds like an interesting read.
I thought the books published in the U.S. alone would have been more, but that's still a lot.
Hope all is well with you, Lee.
Sounds awesome. Congrats Catherine! =)
Reading is to sleep what warming up is to exercise. Ms. Stine's book sounds like a winner ~ thanks for sharing, and for all your support of fellow indies, Miss C. (-:
I love falling asleep with a book on my face.
Sounds like an excellent read. Skull's Wrath… sounds so sinister.
Oh- and I LOVE your new home page. It is beautiful!
Also- I wish Catherine much success!

Congrats! to Catherine! That's a heck of a milestone to reach. Now I'm inspired to do something great!
Oh, I think you've done something great already!
Is this a blog hop? No? Thank goodness! Okay, way to go Catherine. Much respect n'stuff to you.
Win a signed copy? U.S. only? Oh well, never mind. You know, being such an amazing guy, I shall take the liberty of sharing your posting. Jolly good of you to bring further awareness of your writer friend, Lee.
Yes, sadly, I'm leaving now.
Always great to see you. Always sad to see you depart. Sorry this is an exclusive U. S. giveaway, but that's the way the old cookie crumbles. Now, I've really dated myself.
Congrats also to Catherine – and well done with all that recognition for your work 🙂
1,000 books a day… oh my… 🙂
On a positive spin, hope it will be 1,001 books on one of these days 🙂
Of course there will be that OTHER book. Yours perhaps? If so, we're there to support it! You know that.
Loved, loved, loved this book. Whoever doesn't read it is missing out on one fantastic story told with a lot of finesse. I found it hard to put down.
So great that you weighed in on this, M. I know Catherine will love to read what you've written.
Awesome cover and the blurb wounds awesome! Definitely adding it to my wish list!
Love that Voltaire quote too – awesome!
Thanks for stopping in to say hi, Jemi. Voltaire's quote a keeper.
Thanks you guys! Dez, that's no bird!!!! Can you take a wild guess what it really is?
He'll "get" it!
love that birdy on the cover!
Fiery little devil, isn't it?
Best to Catherine and her book. I love that cover!
I know she'll do well. Thanks for helping to support her second book.
I've seen this book around today!
Yep, reading is definitely how I'm able to unwind and go to sleep.
1,000 books every day? That's a lot of reading…
I do believe that some of the most boring books are the ones that tell you everything, so Voltaire has a point.
Catherine's making a splash alright! Here's to Voltaire's good common sense.
I'm glad she escapes. I hope she makes it!
Guess we'll have to read it to find out! 🙂
I have the opposite problem. Especially if the book is too interesting – then I stay up the whole night reading!
Congrats to Catherine and pretty cover, too 🙂
There are some that keep me going after midnight, but not many, I'm afraid. I do try to get up extra early if I'm really reading something that I want to finish.
Congrats to Catherine on her release day! The book sounds great, and I had no idea how many awards her first book, FIRESEED ONE, had received. Cool! Wishing Catherine huge success. 🙂
The problem with reading to fall asleep is that sometimes reading puts me to sleep whether I want it to or not. One second I'm reading an interesting chapter, the next I'm snoring on the couch cushions! lol
I know what you mean about not staying awake when you want to read.
I'm sure Catherine's book will be another award winner.
Best of luck to Catherine!
That is a lot of books…no wonder I can;t keep up with them all!
Voltaire was a wise man.
Ain't that the truth? I think I'll pin Voltaire's quote over my desk.
Thanks, Lee, and yeah, I read every night.
It's almost required these days!
Congratulations, Catherine!
A thousand books a day? Whoa…
That's a whopping number, isn't it?
