Celebrating The Small Things
HOP
It’s the small things that add up to how we spend most of our lives. The trip to Bali or the graduation ceremony we remember easily, but the day we had a coffee with an old friend might be forgotten. So here’s a chance to mark a few of those easily forgotten things and share them with others.
Today’s small things:
1. I paid my bills. The act was small. The bills were not.
2. I threw out magazines from the 1990’s. I now have a free shelf.
3. I called my sister just to say hi.
The day’s not over, and when I walk down to the mailbox to see what the postman has deposited there for me or when I peel the carrots for dinner I’ll remark on these small things and be grateful for them.
Want to join this Hop? Want to visit some others who already have? Here’s your chance.

Hello! This is the first trip I've had to your page, so I'll count that as a small reason to celebrate. I love your visitor tracking globe! Where can I get one?!?! π

Congratulations on paying your bills. I never thought to put that on my list, and it's something we take for granted, but now you mention it that act in itself is something to be proud of and grateful for! Well done for getting rid of your old magazines too. I'm terrible at hoarding mine. Need to bite the bullet and de-clutter!

Are the bills ever? Ha! That was quite funny!
I've just realized that I haven't spoken to my sister in weeks…. thanks for sharing.

Hi there Cleem,
Aha, another blog hop. Speaking of "small things", Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar and yes, the next 'Paw Minister' of Britain, allowed me to take back over my blog and thus, gave me the opportunity to comment.
I like to break up my goals into small things, doable portions.
And with that, I'm going to ghost blog on 'Casper's' site. Yes, I know, you could see right through that one.
A peaceful weekend to you.

Great post and hop! It is so important to remember the small things each day. I try to remember to be thankful for 5 things that happened each day. Most of the things are small things- a delicious cup of coffee, a chat with a friens, a good book to read, heat and hot water. π Have a happy day!

Love your list of joys in completing these everyday tasks. They are things that should be celebrated, because though the seem small, they can take their tolls.

I'm so glad you joined the hop! In these times, I think it's really important to focus on what goes right in our lives instead of worrying about what goes wrong. I think it relieves stress to be happy about the little things. π

I love your three small things. I would be doing cartwheels if I actually cleared off a shelf like that. Kudos! π

Bills, ugh!
1990's! That must have been some pile!
I'm sure your sister loved that call!

I joined in to start for next week. Those are great accomplishments for the day. I'm hoping the postal carrier brings my box of paperbacks today. π Have a wonderful weekend, Lee.

Well, I fed the dog and entered this blog hop, without even having my 1st cup of coffee yet…not a bad start, considering. Glad I found this one…if being effectively human isn't about celebrating the small things, I'm not sure what is. Happy Friday everyone π

What a great idea for a blog hop. My little thing yesterday was I finally got my son in for a haircut – he really needed it!

As i was taking a bath yesterday I was thinking I was also grateful for food, roof, and paying my bills this month. Our minds are connected, hahaha. Good!
