I started Twitter a few months ago to see what it was about. I’d heard it was the “water cooler” of the online social life, but that it offered more than quick conversations. So what did it offer? Book promotion opportunities? Connecting with other authors? How about those agents?

Yep! I'm in and enjoying the fun. You're both right: you meet a lot of people with shared interests and you have access to a lot of information.
I've been talking to fellow writers trying to get an agent and it's been fun overall. Plus agents/people all share great links on there that are just awesome.
I try to tweet way more–it's something I was never sure I was game for but I'm glad I joined the craziness!
