Insecure Writer’s Support Group and The Guide to Publishing and Beyond

December 3, 2014 By C. Lee McKenzie

ALEX J CAVANAUGH

Awesome co-hosts for the December 3 posting of the IWSG are Heather Gardner, T. Drecker from Kidbits, Eva E. Solar at Lilicasplace, and Patsy Collins!

I can’t believe it’s December.

I knew my break would end, but so fast?

Didn’t I just say hasta la vista yesterday?
Didn’t I just write my  Insecure Writers Support Group post for November?
Didn’t I just visit the land of ten thousand stupas and a million Buddhas?
Then there was that holiday that flashed past at warp speed.
 Thanksgiving?
 Yes.
 That was it.
Stop the World. I Want to Get Off.
I should write a play by that title.
Wait!
Too late.
Someone already did.

Maybe it’s the speed that’s dredging up all of these insecurities. But I don’t have time to wallow in my insecure puddle. I’m off to visit others who are sharing their thoughts on this affliction today. Join me and say hi to a lot of writers and read about their INSECURITIES.

AVAILABLE on AMAZON

Don’t forget to get your copy of this collaboration by writers who share their writing experience.

  3. Tammy Theriault says

    December 5, 2014 at 7:07 am

could you do me a favor and speed along the millions of dollars I think I'm due into my bank account for Christmas?? thanks babe!

  4. Christine Rains says

    December 4, 2014 at 11:44 pm

I've been feeling time flying by too. I can't believe it's three weeks until Christmas. Where did 2014 go?

  5. Lynda R Young says

    December 4, 2014 at 10:56 pm

That's what happens when you blink. Don't blink!!

  6. Stephanie Faris says

    December 4, 2014 at 7:36 pm

The year has flown by, for sure, although it blew my mind when I thought back to last Thanksgiving and realized it seemed like it had been ten years ago! I think 2014 was a busy year for me, so it seems like multiple years in one.

  7. Medeia Sharif says

    December 4, 2014 at 9:20 am

It'll be 2015 in no time.

Welcome back to blogging. I missed you.

  8. Denise Covey says

    December 4, 2014 at 7:56 am

Every month flies past so quickly. Next it'll be Christmas then we'll be jumping into 2015 and all the challenges that will bring. 🙂

  9. Lexa Cain says

    December 4, 2014 at 6:45 am

November flew by at the speed of light, right? All while you were busy flying around the globe - or at least around the Buddhas and stupas. (I'm not sure it's pc to refer to the Myanmar's stupas. I'm sure it's not their fault and you shouldn't make fun of the intellectually inferior no matter where they live.)

  10. SittieCates says

    December 4, 2014 at 5:45 am

Yeah, me, too. I didn't realize it was December already. 🙂

  11. Yvonne Ventresca says

    December 4, 2014 at 5:25 am

  12. Angela Brown says

    December 4, 2014 at 3:08 am

Seems so much to do and so little time since time had decided to spread wings and fly at super-sonic speeds! lol!

  13. DMS says

    December 4, 2014 at 1:23 am

  15. Patricia Lynne says

    December 3, 2014 at 11:41 pm

This whole freaking year has flown by. What gives? I feel like I didn't accomplish anything (even though I know I did.)

  16. S. L. Hennessy says

    December 3, 2014 at 10:11 pm

This year feels like it's just FLOWN by!

  17. Jay Noel says

    December 3, 2014 at 9:15 pm

I never write many checks out these days, but when I do, I always stumble when filling out the year. I'm stuck in 2010.

  18. Cherie Reich says

    December 3, 2014 at 8:35 pm

I know what you mean. Time goes by too fast, although I might take too fast over too slow.

  19. M Pax says

    December 3, 2014 at 8:05 pm

Time goes way too fast. If I think about it, I hyperventilate.

  20. Birgit says

    December 3, 2014 at 7:59 pm

The whole year seemed to go by so fast not just the month:) When one travels it even goes by faster. I hope it was a beautiful experience for you

  21. Hart Johnson says

    December 3, 2014 at 7:57 pm

Man, I sure missed the boat on this poetry thing… How do I never know what's going one? I should probably read the fine print more often, but your theme hits on exactly why… just TOO MUCH to do!!!

  22. L. Diane Wolfe says

    December 3, 2014 at 6:46 pm

The older I get, the faster time moves.

  23. Stephen Tremp says

    December 3, 2014 at 6:42 pm

This year has gone by so fast. But it's been productive as I was able to write a book, so I can;t complain.

  24. Sarah Foster says

    December 3, 2014 at 6:20 pm

Time just goes by way too fast, doesn't it?

  25. Sherry Ellis says

    December 3, 2014 at 6:05 pm

Life does seem to be whizzing by pretty fast. I wish it would slow down a little, so we can all catch up on the pile of things we need to do!

    December 3, 2014 at 4:51 pm

  29. M. J. Joachim says

    December 3, 2014 at 4:42 pm

  33. Joylene Nowell Butler says

    December 3, 2014 at 4:08 pm

You could write a play titled, Stop the world I wanna get on! I'd read it!

  34. Cathrina Constantine says

    December 3, 2014 at 4:00 pm

C.Lee, I believe everyone is with you on this. The world seems to be spinning out of control!!! Slow Down Already!!!

  35. Tyrean Martinson says

    December 3, 2014 at 3:52 pm

I am with you, C. Lee! I feel like the whole year swirled by at lightspeed, with November hitting Warp 10 from Star Trek . . . and it doesn't look like anything is going to slow down soon . . . well, except when I decide to push "pause" by taking a day off. So, I'm ready already for Christmas day (and week . . . ).

It's good to see you back and I hope you had an awesome trip!!!

  36. Bish Denham says

    December 3, 2014 at 3:04 pm

I can SO relate to "where did the time go?" This whole year seems to have gone by in blur. I know I've accomplished SOMEthing, but I can't seem to remember what it was… 🙂

  37. S.K. Anthony says

    December 3, 2014 at 2:57 pm

      December 3, 2014 at 2:58 pm

  38. Loni Townsend says

    December 3, 2014 at 2:48 pm

Ah, where did the time go? Sorry life seems like a blur, but great that it doesn't give you time to be insecure! Hope you catch up with life!
