Hi Lee … Yertle is a good word - I know of Dr Zeuss .. but none of his writings … I started watching - then laid off! it was fun .. but there's a time and place .. another day ..

Don't fall - that is a very good motto .. but I'm pleased your mother is 'settled' somewhat and is being cared for or looked after by others, or is better in herself - that's a relief.

Does that mean you won't climb a ladder to make Pond Pudding again - now I'm desolate!!! So much fun you doing that ..

    Cheers Hilary

I'm not so familiar with Yertle's story but you gotta love Dr Seuss - the cat in the hat (one of the rare cases where I think the sequel was better), the Lorax, Horton, the Sneetches - the list goes on!

Yertle indeed! Dr. Seuss is on the loose. Yes, I know, he collaborated with Willie Shakespeare, "Green Eggs and Hamlet"!

Glad your crisis on the the "MOM-Front" has been somewhat contained.

Oh my, one more letter after "Y"!

LOL. Made up words are the best. I draw a good portion of my vocabulary from my creative hubby and silly kids. Rand-o-majinker our most recent addition-it's a spaceship for flying to alien infested planets. =)

Yertle sounds Yiddish :-). The first book I ever read all by myself was Hop on Pop.

What a great choice. We love Dr. Seuss at my house and I even got my daughter (at 15) one of her favorites last year as a birthday present.

I can't think of ANYONE that dislikes Dr. Seuss!

One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish and The Foot Book were pretty popular in my household. I was also a big fan of Green Eggs and Ham. You know, since Sam I Am is kind of the star 🙂

I hope your mom is resting better now!

I've never been a huge Dr. Seuss person. Is is okay to admit that? I think I was traumatized by The Cat in the Hat when I was little. I mean, why didn't the parents leave the kids with a babysitter? Then none of the ensuing problems would have occurred. 🙂

LOVE Dr. Seuss! My all time favorite is The Cat in the Hat, followed closely by Horton Hears a Who.

My mom fell a couple of times and it was pretty scary. Hope she's settled down and that you can rest a little more easily.
