This month I featured Yolanda Renee. She has been a great guest, and I hope the feature helped make her books more visible out in this wildly competitive world of books. Be sure to take a look at all of her work, including Parallels: Felix Was Here, an anthology The Insecure Writers Group made possible.

This week I was interviewed by Jody Mott. He has a great website that features podcasts with authors. The theme is their favorite children’s book. Jody asked some great questions and we got into the RIDDLE in ALICE IN WONDERLAND which has an interesting literary history. I had a chance to talk more about my story in Beware the Little White Rabbit. Here’s the link if you’d like to hear. Start 4 minutes in for the actual INTERVIEW, otherwise you have to hear Timothy Lear’s poetry.

Oh, cool, Congratz on the interview! That Tara Tyler one sounds interesting! 🙂

Also, I just finished listening to your full interview! All those facts about Alice in Wonderland, so interesting!
I finally got the moment to listen to this properly. How fun to hear your voice! And you read my favorite portion of Alice . . . the tea party has so much fun and frustration to it. I've always loved it. I still have my (very large) annotated hardcover of Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, complete with 1970s-style cover art. I spent many hours lost in those pages. Great interview! You made me want to read the books all over again.
So many great looking and sounding books. I have been wanting to read Yolanda's series for a while. Tara's book sounds great too. Looking forward to reading your interview. 🙂

Nice of you to feature Yolanda. She's awesome. 🙂
Interesting set of books here to consider.
The princess book looks interesting and the Snowman looks like it would keep me awake at night.
I always love seeing a list of new books. It means people are writing, producing, and seeing their dreams come true! That said, Two Princesses immediately caught my eye. Gonna have to check it out. 🙂
Awesome list of books. All sounds great.
Great interview, C. Lee. Very educational. Sounds like some good reads will be going on my tbr list. 🙂
Thanks for listening and glad you're a reader. 🙂
I love how you continue to promote other writers!
Writers need all the support they can get these days. I speak from experience.
Great sounding books! My wishlist keeps growing 🙂
Tara's new book is on my list to read. I'm sure it will be good, like all her others.
I'm so curious about the Beware the Little White Rabbit anthology, and I love the cover so much. 🙂

These books sound quite good and the IWSG sounds like a fun one
The books look interesting. I'll have to check out the podcast.
Congrats to Tara! I've used the name Deja in my WIP series. 🙂
It'll be fun to see what everyone does for the contest.
I like that name.
Congrats on the podcast interview. And congrats to all the authors and their new releases.
Thanks, Dolorah. It was a very nice experience–talking instead of writing.
Yay for all those great books! I've read Tara's story already (fabulous!) and Yolanda's is on the top of my TBR list. Have a wonderful week. 🙂
Working on the week. It must be a good one.
Congratulations to Tara on her new book, and Snowman sounds really spooky. And I always thought snowmen were nice.
Now they're kind like clowns, aren't they. Meant to be funny and nice, but deeply troubling. Darned that Yolanda.
I love the way you always feature authors, Lee, and I trust sales skyrocketed on Yolanda's awesome book.
Way to go on the podcast.
Thank you, Sandra. I like to support authors. I know how difficult it is to make any kind of splash in this storming sea.
As always congratulations (and thanks) to those with new books out. My bookaholic self will never be forced to go cold turkey.
I grew up on a diet of Alice in Wonderland – and Through the Looking Glass. My siblings and I still recite pieces of them…
I'm so glad to hear that. I've heard so much about why this book was rotten that I was beginning to think I was the only one who enjoyed the nonsense.
Congratulations to writers who are making it into the big leagues with their fantastic ideas, stories and characters. Its like the last act before the final curtain call – the show must go on.
It's always exciting to see new books arrive.
Hi, Cheryl-Lee Mckenzie!
I just returned from Jody's site where I listened to his podcast interview with you in its entirety. It was a treat for my ears to hear your voice for the first time as you commented on one of your favorite books Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. Cheryl, you have a wonderful voice, diction forever, and I could listen to you read the white pages of the telephone directory and be equally engrossed. I appreciated your observations about the book, about Carroll's penchant for word play, about Alice's futile attempt to make sense out of nonsense, and the assertion that a book can rise to classic status even if the protagonist does not change or grow during its course and even if the story has no particular meaning and delivers no specific message. It is simply an avenue of escape.
I thoroughly enjoyed listening as you deftly fielded Jody's questions, Cheryl. You're a pro and I could hear the smile in your voice. Thank you very much and have a great week!
Your comment was so kind, Shady. Thank you for it and for listening to the podcast. Time is precious and if someone takes a bit of theirs for me I really appreciate it.
but Deja is the princess of Barsum over at Mars!
Can't there be two?
Hi Lee – couldn't agree more … none of us ever read the same book … so true I'm sure. I've got Yolanda's to read and then the other authors .. congratulations to them – cheers Hilary
Readers are the best.
I love that quote by Wilson. So true. What we each bring to reading a book is different and therefore our interpretations/experiences are different. Looking forward to checking out your interview.
Ergo the reviews that make one's heart soar and those that plumet writers to earth. 🙂 Hope you enjoy the podcast.
Congrats to Yolanda and Tara! And hooray for your interview!
Being featured has made The Snowman and the other books more popular!!! THANK YOU!!!
Free does help, but I'm thinking it's the exposure that you afford the authors that does the most! An awesome opportunity!
You ROCK Lee!
I'm really happy that this month's feature helped, Yolanda. Let's hope more readers will pick up your books once they've read the prequel!
I must just say how much I enjoyed the podcast with Jody Mott, really interesting and nice to hear your voice. I’m off to read the rest of your post now, have a great week.
I appreciate your taking the time to listen to the podcast. I always wonder if people will set aside those minutes.
thanks for the shout out! and I love the other authors I'm featured with – great day to be with C Lee!
And I didn't now about IWSG pride day – that's awesome!
thanks again!
Tara Tyler Talks
Be sure to jump into the game, Tara!
Congratulations to Tara and continued good luck to Yolanda.
Great interview, Lee! I've learned a whole lot about Alice in Wonderland that I nevar knew!
Thanks, Bish. Don't you love the story of the riddle?
Congrats to Tara on the new book. Hit the big time now with an interview at your sea. Lots to win when the iwsg contest comes to be.
It was fun to do. I like to talk. 🙂
Congrats to everyone on their new books. And that's so awesome that you were interviewed.
There are quite a few books are piling up on my TBR pile, but nothing new in that.
