I do the same thing! I was watching during the Twitter pitch, and I noticed someone got the initials switched, and all I could think of was, "Don't they know the I Was Seeking Gary rule?"
Aha, you two lovely ladies! "IWSG" and yep, remembering my name is a handy way to remember how those initials fall into line.

This sounds like a lot of fun! I'll be in the bleachers, cheering.
The fun lies in taping into the spirit and momentum fueling the competition, once you can do that passion does the rest.
Hey, Lee, lucky me. I'll be on the Adriatic Sea or the Greek Islands on October 4. Tough. I'll have to give the IWSG a miss. Lovely prizes for some lucky insecure writers. Think of me doing it tough!

I'm looking forward to the October contest. And to creating the picture for my own blog. As my avatar is a painting by Rubens, combining it with the IWSG logo will be a fun art project.
